What does Merge PDF do?
Combine PDF files in your chosen order into one document, directly in your browser. It is designed for a focused task you can complete from a modern browser without creating an account. Start with the interactive controls above, then use this guide to understand the output and the cases where you should keep or use a different source file.
How to use this tool
Select two or more PDFs, reorder the list with the arrow buttons, then create and download the merged file. Once the result appears, check it before using the copy or download button. You can change the inputs and run the operation again; the original input is not overwritten.
A practical example
A project proposal can combine a cover letter, budget and supporting documents. Put the cover letter first and check the final page count before sending it.
Limits and important trade-offs
Page content is copied rather than turned into screenshots. Bookmarks, interactive forms, attachments and digital signatures may not survive merging. Encrypted files are rejected.
Before working with PDF files
Start from a copy of the original. A PDF can contain more than visible page content: form fields, embedded files, bookmarks, annotations and signatures may carry information you cannot see in a thumbnail. Check the document after any transformation, especially if it will support an application, contract or archived record. This library is designed for ordinary document tasks rather than preservation of every advanced PDF feature.
The current browser limit is 25 MB per file and 50 MB in total. Rendering jobs are limited to 40 pages and bounded image dimensions to avoid exhausting memory on phones. A file below those limits can still be too complex for a particular device. If processing fails, try a smaller selection or a desktop browser. Password-protected and damaged PDFs are not bypassed; use an accessible, valid source file that you are authorized to process.
Check the exported document
Open the download in an independent PDF viewer. Check the beginning, end, page order and any page with small text or graphics. Make sure the file extension matches the output you requested. Compression and JPG conversion create image-based content; copying pages into another PDF follows a different path and should not be confused with image compression. A smaller file is useful only if its contents are still legible and complete.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account or a subscription?
No account is needed for this browser utility. You can run it from this page, review the output and download or copy the result. File limits protect device memory rather than unlocking a paid tier.
Does the tool upload my input?
The tool processes input locally in this tab. It does not send selected files, pasted text or calculator values to ToolBino. Loading the website and its ordinary analytics are separate; consult the site’s privacy and cookie information for those services.
What should I do if the result is unexpected?
Check the documented limits above, try the worked example, and verify the input format or units. Keep your original until you have checked the result. Reset clears the current tool state; reloading or closing the tab also discards unsaved tool input.
Next useful steps
Choose the next operation that matches your task rather than repeating the same transformation unnecessarily. These related tools use different rules and explain their own limits:
- Split PDF — Extract selected PDF pages into a new file using page ranges such as 1-3, 6, 9.
- Compress PDF — Reduce scanned PDFs by rebuilding pages as JPEG images. Text becomes non-selectable; compare the output size before downloading.
- JPG to PDF — Turn JPG and PNG images into a single PDF, with one image per page in your selected order.
